This 1935 film was made in an effort to showcase Jewish Palestine to the world.  It is one of the most spectacular visual records to have survived. The film features the early pioneers, recent refugees from Europe, and the commerce, agriculture and industry of the period.  Palestine's cities, including "old" and "new" Jerusalem, are contrasted with kibbutzim, the new agricultural settlements.
