Guy Ad was born and raised in Be'er Sheva.
Her father, a Holocaust survivor, was a journalist and writer (changed his name from Marcuse forever - eternally - to remember his past). She completed her bachelor's degree in biology and her master's in history and philosophy of science and ideas at Tel Aviv University, and completed her master's degree in psychology through New York Art. Worked at the Geriatric Institute in Harlem.
Guy Witness is the bride of the 2010 Prime Minister Levi Eshkol Award and her book in the 1970s was nominated on the long list for the Sapir Prize in 2013. Lives in Tel Aviv, mother of two and is engaged in writing and editing
Gai Ad was born in Beersheva, Israel, in 1963. She studied life sciences at Tel Aviv University and received her BA in 1989; during these years, she wrote for the daily newspaper Hadashot. She later moved to the United States and received an MA in emotive therapy from Leslie College. She attended training courses for therapists of amnesia sufferers in New York, and founded a special unit for Alzheimer patients. After returning to Israel in 1997, Gai Ad began writing for TV and working as a translation editor. At present, she writes screenplays for Channel 1 TV and works as a translator. Gai Ad has received the Prime Minister's Prize (2010).
