✡️ Born on 2 Nisan 5670 /  10th of April, 1910 .
Rav Elyashiv was the Posek ha-dor (leading halachic authority )  and leader of The Lithuanian-Haredi community in Israel and abroad.  He delivered shiurim in a shul in  Meah Shearim near his home in Yerushalaim.


Passed away at the age of 102  on 28 tammuz 5772  / July 18, 2012 in Jerusalem.
